After completing a trip, the rider will be prompt to leave a rating for the partner driver. Partner drivers' rating will be a cumulative average of all received.

HOW SURGE LOOKS LIKE

During times of high demand, prices can go up – this is called surge pricing. Surge pricing helps increase the number of partner drivers online during times of extreme demand, increasing the chance that there will be cars available when riders need one most.
To do this, we add a surge multiplier. If prices are surging at 1.5X, that means a $10 fare would now be a $15 fare! Uber’s commission does not change. Surge is most likely to occur during peak hours, big events and poor weather!

HOW DOES IT WORKS?

When you're offline in the Uber Partner app, press the menu button found in the top-left corner. Select "Trip History" and you will see a list of all your most recent trips. Tap the trip that you need help with and then press the "Need Help?" button found at the bottom of the screen.
From here, let us know what happened. For example, if you did not begin or end the trip on time you can select "I had an issue with the fare" and then "I didn't begin or end the trip on time". On the following screen, you'd be asked to provide the correct pick-up and drop-off location. Check out the example below!

If you are unable to have your issue resolved via in-app support, you can always come to our Partners Support Centre for in-person support. Our Partner Support Centre is open 10am - 6pm, Mon - Fri and 10am - 2pm, Sat, if you ever want to speak to one of our friendly specialists.

To illustrate how you qualify:
TRIPS PER HOUR: You need to maintain at least 1.5 TPH and maintain at least 2 hours on the road per hour block throughout the week.
Example: You need to drive at least 2 out of the 3 hours.
Do I need to drive for 2 hours continuously?
No, as long as you stay online for at least 2 hours anytime between that time frame.
ACCEPTANCE RATE: If you accept 85 out of 100 trip requests within the week, your Acceptance Rate if 85%.
COMPLETION RATE: If you accept 100 trip requests within the week, but 15 riders cancel their trip, and you cancel another 15 trips, your Completion Rate is 70%.

We've heard your feedback! Please reference this page for more detail on exactly how guarantees are calculated and paid. Incentives are additional payments made to Uber partners when they meet certain criteria. Uber is here to help partners make the most out of their time and make a good earning. For example, an incentive might be offered for driving on the Uber system during certain times, such as peak hours or public holidays.

WHAT'S AN "INCENTIVE"?

Incentives are payments offered to Uber partners to encourage them to drive on the Uber system when i) riders need them most and ii) when they will make the most money. Basically - drive more, earn more.

WHAT IS "TPH"?

"TPH" stands for "trips per hour." TPH refers to how many trips a driver partner completes in 1 hour.
How is TPH calculated? Is the TPH based on a weekly, daily or per period?
TPH is calculated per period. Each weekday morning, weekday evening, and each weekend day is counted as a separate period (12 periods total). TPH is calculated as an average over multiple hours for the purposes of guarantees.
If I start a trip during the peak hour and complete it after the peak hours have ended, does the trip still count towards my tph?
Yes. Your trips are counted based on the request time.
How long does each incentive last?
The type of incentive program may change week-to-week, depending on the needs of riders and feedback from Uber driving partners. Check your email and this page for details around the duration of the current program.

DRIVE WHEN YOU WANT!

Can I drive when I want?
Uber gives you the power to manage your own schedule. When you’re available to offer rides, simply get on the road and start accepting requests. When you have other things to do, go offline until you’re ready to drive again.
Are we allowed to go offline for a small period of time for toilet breaks?
Yes! You do not need to be online for the entire incentive period. If you are offline for 20 minutes of a 4-hour incentive period, you will be eligible for the incentive for 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Incentives are calculated based on the total number of minutes online. If you need to take a break, simply go offline and then log back on when you are done with your break. Minutes online do not need to be consecutive.
Do do I qualify for the incentive program if I only drive a few hours during the peak hour period?
If you only drive for part of the peak hour period, you will be receive a prorated amount depending on how long you drove (e.g. if you drove 2 hours from the 4 hour $30/hr period, you could be guaranteed (0.5) * $30 * 4).
Do I need to drive ALL the peak hours and guarantee periods to qualify for incentives? Or do I just need to go online during the peak hours?
You do not need to drive all the peak hours.
How are incentive top-ups calculated? Is the guaranteed fare before or after the 20% deduction from Uber?
The guaranteed fare is before the 20% service fee from Uber.

HOW TO USE YOUR OWN CAR TO DRIVE

Step 1: Register a sole proprietorship
As an Uber partner with your own car, you'll need a business profile in order for Uber to pay you. Registering a business is simple and should take you less than 30 minutes. Registration can be done online at www.bizfile.gov.sg and select business activity codes 49219. Uber will reimburse you in full for the cost.

Step 2: Purchase commercial insurance

It's EASY to use your own car to drive with Uber ! All vehicles on Uber are commercially insured, this is to provide both you and riders the protection should any accident happen. Here at Uber, we have partnered with a few insurance companies to ensure the most competitive rates for our partners.

Please reach out to our Preferred Insurance Partners to obtain commercial insurance on your vehicle.
